Béchamel, also known as “white sauce” is one of the most staple sauces used in cooking and often serves as the base for many other sauces.
|1 cup||heavy cream||–|
|1/4 teaspoon||ground nutmeg||–|
|–||salt & pepper||to taste|
- In a small saucepan, melt your butter over low heat.
- Add the flour and whisk form a roux.
- Pour in the cream & milk. Stir until thick.
- Add the nutmeg and season with salt & pepper.
